June Riser of the Month: Michel Curth

When Michel Curth was seeking a way to keep exercising during Covid, she was grateful to find RISE had many options. “I never could thank them enough for that,” says Michel. “That’s how special they are.”

Michel continues to enjoy all RISE classes now but live and in-person. “RISE offers a variety of different and engaging classes with early start times, which is ideal,” she says.

No matter the class she chooses to take, Michel knows she’ll be left feeling more energetic and healthier. It’s feeling good that motivates Michel to keep rising every day. And every day, we LOVE the energy and effort Michel brings to RISE.

Whether it’s pushing herself in class or remaining dedicated to her wellness routine outside of RISE, we see Michel getting closer to her goals with daily dedication. “Short-term my goals are increasing my weights and always finding new ways of eating healthy,” she says. “My long-term goals are remaining consistent and being able to workout 5-7 days a week as I age. Even if I have to slow down a little, I want to always keep moving.”

Michel’s energy, attitude and determination make her our RISER of the Month. Congrats, Michel! We’re so happy to partner with you in your wellness journey. Read on to learn more about Michel.

What makes RISE a standout to you?

I love the RISE community, especially the RISE Challenges,” she says. “The instructors are all top notch while offering different teaching styles that are all quite impactful. I never feel that I’m getting complacent.”

What RISE class gets you feeling the most mentally and physically amped?

All of them, but I do love Wednesday Kettlebell with Bill and Friday Metabolic Conditioning with Lauren.

What’s your biggest challenge in getting to class, and how do you combat that challenge?

Making sure I get a good night’s rest before an early-morning class. I’m not a morning person but love to be done by 7am.

What’s your athletic background?

I grew up outdoors in a remote area. We were outside all the time - horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and lots of lake life.

What’s your best healthy living tip?

I feel that healthy eating habits and exercise/movement need to be a part of your daily routine. I also like trying new things or looking at different ways to stay healthy. One thing I love about the Challenges is I learn something new during each Challenge.
